General Supplier FAQs

How long does onboarding take?

Typically 3–7 business days end-to-end: online application → e-signing with OpenSign™ → PSP (Xendit) sub-account KYC. Timing depends on document completeness and PSP review queues.

What documents will OpenSign™ or Xendit ask for?

Company deed/AHU, NIB, NPWP, KTP of directors/authorized signers, specimen signature, and company bank account proof. PT PMA may be asked for investment/license documents.

When do I receive my payouts?

Split-settlement pays your share directly to your bank in about 1 to 2 business days after buyer payment. PSP reserves/bank holidays can extend timing.

Can I list used or refurbished panels?

Yes—clearly mark condition (used/refurbished), state real wattage/grade, and disclose warranty. Mislabeling or missing warranty terms can lead to takedown.

Do I need SNI certification for every SKU?

Where SNI is required (e.g., modules/inverters), yes—upload valid SNI/IEC certificates per model or family. Listings without required compliance may be suspended.

Is there a minimum stock level?

No platform minimum, but inventory must be truthful. If out of stock, update lead time or unpublish immediately.

What happens if my product is damaged in transit?

Seller is responsible for secure packaging and coordinating the claim with the courier/insurer. Ask buyers to provide photo/video evidence within the stated window.

How are warranty claims handled?

Directly between buyer and seller per your manufacturer warranty. SOLAR.ID is not a party to warranty performance.

Can international brands apply?

Yes—one option is through an Indonesian PT/PT PMA or an authorized Indonesian distributor who signs and passes KYC or click here for more information on other options: https://solar.id/pages/become-an-international-supplier

How do promotions (homepage banners) work?

Optional, limited inventory placements booked via your account manager. Rates and specs are provided on request; performance reporting is shared after each campaign.

How do I upgrade/downgrade my plan?

Request the change from your dashboard; it takes effect next billing cycle. Commission and benefits follow the active plan.

Eligibility and Account Types

Who can sell on SOLAR.ID?

PT and PT PMA only. CV/UD/Individuals are not eligible.

Can foreign companies sell if they appoint an Indonesian distributor?

Yes—if the Indonesian distributor is a PT/PT PMA and signs/KYC’s as the Merchant.

Do I need NIB, NPWP, and a corporate bank account to apply?

Yes—all three are required and must match the PT/PT PMA details.

Can a brand owner and its distributors both have stores?

Yes, if each has authorization and distinct KYC. We may request proof of brand permission to avoid conflicts.

I’m an EPC—can I list services (design) as SKUs?

Yes—create service SKUs with scope, geography, lead time, and pricing.

Are used/refurbished panels or inverters allowed?

Allowed with clear condition/warranty disclosure. Counterfeit or misleading listings are prohibited.

Can I sell consumables/tools (MC4, crimpers, PPE) alongside modules/inverters?

Yes—solar-related accessories are welcome.

Are there category restrictions (gensets/diesel/EV chargers/batteries)?

Solar and adjacent categories only. No fossil-fuel gensets/diesel, while EV chargers and batteries are allowed with proper specs/certification.

Can individuals (WNI) apply for a company store later without re-KYC?

Individuals can’t sell; when you form a PT, you must complete full company KYC.

Do I need a brand authorization letter to sell Tier-1 brands?

Yes, on request. We may remove listings if authorization is unclear.

KYC, Contracts / Compliance

Who performs KYC—and in what order?

OpenSign™ handles e-signature for the Agreement; then Xendit completes PSP sub-account KYC for payouts.

What documents will I need?

Deed/AHU, NIB, NPWP, KTP of directors/authorized signers, board resolution/POA (if any), and corporate bank proof.

How long does KYC take end-to-end?

Usually 2–5 business days if documents are ready.

Will I sign the Seller Agreement electronically via OpenSign™?

Yes—OpenSign™ e-signature is required.

Can I appoint an authorized signatory instead of a director?

Yes—with a valid POA/board resolution uploaded during onboarding.

How are my uploaded documents stored and protected?

Encrypted at rest and in transit; access is restricted to compliance personnel and the PSP.

Catalog / Content

Minimum info per SKU?

Model, key specs/datasheet, warranty terms, lead time, MOQ (if any), and HS code. Include clear condition (new/used/refurbished).

Image requirements?

High-resolution, white/neutral background where possible, no third-party marketplace watermarks. Manufacturer logos/watermarks are fine.

Can I hide prices (“price on request”)?

No. All listings must display a purchase price.

Can I show brand badges?

Yes—official brand/verified badges are supported.

How to list bundles?

Create a separate SKU for the bundle with full contents and a bundle price.

Can I list spare parts and RMA-only SKUs?

Yes—label them clearly and note compatibility.

Pricing, Taxes and Invoicing

Are prices tax-inclusive on the storefront?

Prices are pre-tax; PPN is added at checkout and shown on the order.

Who issues the e-invoice/faktur pajak?

The seller (your PT / PT PMA) issues the faktur pajak to the buyer.

Can I set different prices by province/warehouse?

No—one national price per SKU.

Do you support withholding tax (PPh) scenarios for B2B buyers?

Not supported within checkout. Handle any PPh arrangements outside the platform.

Orders, Fulfilment and Logistics

Who pays shipping—seller or buyer?

Your choice—offer free shipping or charge it as a line item. Be transparent in the listing.

Can I use my own courier or SOLAR.ID partners?

Use your own couriers/forwarders. You’re responsible for rates, tracking, and delivery.

Do you offer cargo insurance or do I arrange it?

You arrange insurance directly with the carrier/insurer.

Can buyers self-pickup from my warehouse?

Yes—coordinate pickup time and proof-of-handover must be obtained.

Any restricted regions or surcharges?

You must be able to sell and deliver nationwide. Remote-area surcharges are fine if disclosed in advance.

Payments / Payouts (PSP Split)

What payment methods are supported?

Nearly all mainstream payment options are available and may vary by PSP. For the definitive, up-to-date list, please see the SOLAR.ID Seller–Merchant Agreement.

What exactly is split settlement?

At payment, the PSP splits: our commission/membership goes to SOLAR.ID; your net goes direct to your bank. SOLAR.ID does not hold your funds.

Where can I see my commission and membership charges?

In your seller dashboard and on the PSP payout reports/ledgers.

Can I change my bank account after onboarding?

Yes—update it in your PSP sub-account and re-verify.
